Student Success 2.0: Every Warrior Rises is a bold campuswide initiative designed to propel students toward graduation and career success. It is our second initiative designed to drive Wayne State’s commitment to Accelerate Mobility for Our Students — the first pillar of our Prosperity Agenda — and ensure that all Wayne State students have the resources, support and transformative academic experiences that will help them thrive in their studies and graduate prepared for fulfilling careers. This initiative builds on our efforts in achieving national benchmarks for graduation to move us further forward, using personalized strategies so that each and every Warrior we admit succeeds in earning their degree, the foundational step to a meaningful and productive life.

We’re all in this together

Led by Provost Clabo and the Academic Affairs team, the initiative invites every member of the Warrior community — from faculty and staff to our alumni and external partners — to play a role in helping our students thrive. Student support from Day 1

Comprehensive support networks: Students connect with top-tier resources, holistic support and one-on-one guidance beginning as early as recruitment and admission and lasting through Commencement.

Career readiness from the start: Early career programs supporting the College to Career initiative ensure access to internships, mentorship and personalized professional development from students’ first semester that will prepare them to succeed in the workforce.

Individualized student support: Predictive analytics and real-time interventions ensure each student gets help when they need it — academically, financially or personally.

Drive to 75: Builds on our recent successes to achieve the “next level” of student success, moving Wayne State’s graduation rate to 75% and reinforcing our deep commitment to our community.
