Grant targets nursing shortage
A $331,000 grant from the state’s Nursing Corps initiative will help the College of Nursing fund development of an accelerated, 15-month master’s degree program to help combat the critical shortage of nursing educators in the state. The college will fast-track a cohort of students specializing in acute care who, upon graduation, will be committed to teach in Michigan for at least five years.
